This role involves performing X-ray procedures on patients, ensuring patient safety and producing high-quality diagnostic images. The X-Ray Technologist will be responsible for patient interaction, equipment operation, image processing, and maintaining accurate patient records. On-call, callback, and holiday shifts are required, with a 30-minute response time.

Responsibilities:
- Verifying patient identity and physician orders before procedures.
- Operating X-ray equipment to capture radiographic images of bones, tissues, and organs.
- Explaining procedures to patients and answering their questions.
- Positioning patients, including lifting and moving those with limited mobility.
- Ensuring safe and proper handling of radiologic equipment, minimizing patient radiation exposure.
- Observing patient status and interpreting information to meet age-specific needs.
- Producing high-quality diagnostic images for radiologist interpretation.
- Promptly reporting damaged or malfunctioning equipment.
- Utilizing electronic patient information systems to verify patient data and adhere to dual patient identifier procedures.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring proper image identification and transmission to the PACS system.
- Performing C-arm/O-arm procedures.
- Responding to on-call shifts within 30 minutes.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Completion of formal training from an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
- Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- New York State license (or ability to obtain one before starting).
- Two years of X-ray Technologist experience.
- Level 1 trauma center experience.
- Ability to lift and move patients.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Patient and compassionate disposition.
- Teamwork skills.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association only).
- Experience using C-arm/O-arm within the past 8 months.
